St. Christophers By the Sea is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas serving the community of Portland. The mission of the church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” We follow Jesus into loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, with each other, and with the earth.

Who We Are

Worship at St. Christopher’s is offered in the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England; this means our worship is richly sacramental and devotional in character, centred on Christ in the Mass – the Eucharist or Holy Communion – the Sacrament of his Body and Blood.
